My target audience.

Target Audience-


In this piece of work I am going to refine my target audience using psychographics and demographics

The age group I will be targeting for my magazine is people between the age of 15-24, this is because it is more likely that people of this age will listen to the music my magazine will represent, and also because this age group are likely to have more disposable income than people of an older age. I would also like to target people in all of the socio economic groups; this is because I then have a wider audience to target and that would mean it is a possibility to sell more magazines. Also I have done this because students tend to fall into the E category of the socio economic groups, this is important to do as students fall into the demographic category of 15-24 years old and they are more likely to buy music magazines than older people.





The value life styles I am targeting are groups who are outer directed, this is because this group are seen as belongers, emulators and achievers, meaning that they are more likely to buy music magazines because they want to be seen as fitting in with the ‘norm’ and also because they’re emulators who may buy the magazine that includes their favourite artists because they may want to copy or emulate them. I will also target groups who are inner directed, this is because one of the groups within this group are people who are societally conscious, this would be a good target audience because they will want to fit in with what is seen as normal in the current situations they find themselves in.
